The Upper Bucks Rail Trail connects Coopersburg to Quakertown in Springfield and Richland Townships, Bucks County.

Highlands Trail Route

From Coopersburg, the Upper Bucks Rail Trail follows a SEPTA-owned former rail corridor south toward the Quakertown area for 3.2 miles, connecting to Veterans Park on East Pumping Station Road in Richland Township.

Facts

The Upper Bucks Rail Trail is constructed of a trail surface aggregate material and provides universal access. The trail also includes 800 feet of boardwalk in Springfield Township. The Bucks County Commissioners used Act 13 Legacy Funds for trail design and construction, and Springfield and Richland Townships manage and maintain the trail. The trail connects to the 7.5 mile Saucon Rail Trail at the Lehigh County line near Coopersburg.
