Montgomery County Conservation District Looking for Master Watershed Stewards

The Montgomery County Conservation District is currently looking for applicants for the 2016 class of Master Watershed Stewards. The Master Watershed Stewards Program is an opportunity to receive expert training on a variety of topics related to watershed protection, such as rain barrels, wildlife, pollution prevention, stormwater management, and invasive plant control. After completing 40 hours of training, Master Watershed Stewards go on to provide much-needed volunteer assistance to watershed associations and communities in the Pennsylvania Highlands region, completing projects like rain gardens, green roofs, riparian buffer restoration, and community education workshops.  Master Watershed Stewards  classes are held weekly starting in spring.  You can learn more about Master Watershed Stewards in Montgomery County here.
