In upper Bucks County, a connection from the Highlands Trail route in Quakertown east to Nockamixon State Park is being planned. The trail route would provide a way for residents of Quakertown and the surrounding townships to reach the state park without the need for a car. The trail route would also provide a way for park users to connect to Quakertown.
