The Pennsylvania Highlands Trail Strategic Plan guides the prioritization of key projects, outline tactics for community engagement, strengthens marketing and branding, and creates a long-term vision for trail funding, management, and operations. →

Using data from the Land and Trails Tracking System, the AMC Mid-Atlantic office created 12 interactive Story Maps that provide updates and expansions to the 2006 Highlands Conservation Atlas. Included in this update were conserved lands, conservation areas, and historic and recreational resources, which includes the PA Highlands Trail. →

The Pennsylvania Highlands Trail Stewards and several volunteers in coordination with Tinicum Conservancy and Bridgeton Township are beginning to develop a 2-mile natural footpath in Bridgeton Township’s recently preserved open space in Upper Black Eddy, off of River Road. Work on the trail is set to begin in early October 2023. →
