Community Open House Addresses Trail Gap

On the evening of Monday, October 16th 2107, members of the Tollgate Landing community met with AMC staff and representatives of Richland and Milford Townships to discuss the potential for a trail connection to a new park and Trumbauersville Elementary School.

Discussion at the Open House, held at the Richland Township Administrative Building, surrounded fostering support for development of a multi-use trail within the Tollgate Landing neighborhood. Tollgate Landing is located on the north side of Tollgate Road in Richland Township. The “Tollgate Trail” would link to the developed Brayton Garden Trail to the east and to the Barrel Run Trail in Milford Township, just west of the Tollgate Landing neighborhood. This trail would also connect to Trumbauersville Elementary School to the west and to the new Richland Township park, currently under construction just east of Tollgate Landing. The new park will offer playground equipment, a basketball court, a soccer kickboard, pavilions, playing fields, and in the future, a loop trail.

Other discussion at the Open House included options for trail alignment through the HOA open space.  A conceptual alignment that came out of the Open House discussions is depicted below.
