State and National Parks in the PA Highlands hosted Volunteer Events on Saturday, September 28^th in celebration of National Public Lands Day!

NPL Day is the largest single-day volunteer effort to support America’s public lands.

Here in the Pennsylvania Highlands, residents and visitors alike enjoy the abundance of our local, state, and national parks and lands.   The PA Highlands is a nearly two million-acre region that includes land in thirteen counties and is distinguished by almost 100,00 acres of state forest and more than 30,000 acres of land in 12 state parks.  The region also features a wealth of historic sites, including sites of national significance.
