The Highlands Trail aligns with the South Bethlehem Greenway through the City of Bethlehem. The South Bethlehem Greenway follows the former Bethlehem-Philadelphia rail corridor and is planned to connect the Saucon Rail Trail in Hellertown Borough.
Highlands Trail Route
From the west, the Highlands Trail route follows the South Bethlehem Greenway beginning at the intersection of Route 412 and the Minsi Trail Bridge on the south side of the City of Bethlehem. The South Bethlehem Greenway can also be accessed by crossing the Fahy Bridge (New Street). The trail route follows the Greenway through the city and ends near Lynne Avenue.
