On Thursday, October 31st, 2019 at 2pm, the PA Highlands Coalition will host the webinar “Match Funding: Open Space Referendums and other local tools to Support Land Conservation.”
Local funding is an important component of successful land conservation, as many federal and state grant programs require awardees to provide matching funds for the project. Local governments can work to collect monies through an open space referendum. Understand how this tool works is valuable for those interested in land conservation – staff at municipalities, counties, land trusts, and all stakeholders who support open space.
Owen Franklin, Pennsylvania State Director for The Trust for Public Land and Lori Stauffer, Township Manager at Lower Nazareth Township will present and answer questions.
Join us to obtain the latest overview of matching funding tools from The Trust for Public Land and to learn about how Lower Nazareth Township passed a recent ballot measure authorizing a new open space referendum.
Register here. Registrants will receive a confirmation email with details on how to join the webinar.
