Recently, Richland Township, Bucks County updated their Open Space and Trails Map to show the Pennsylvania Highlands Trail Network along with other park and trail resources.
The updated map was prepared working with the Township engineering and planning consultant, Boucher and James, Inc. The map shows the Township’s many open space, park and trail resources, along with land with conservation easements. The map also shows existing and proposed trail corridors, and shows conceptually how proposed trails will connect to the adjacent townships of Milford, East and West Rockhill, Springfield and Haycock, and the Boroughs of Quakertown and Richlandtown.
The PHTN in Richland Township
The Pennsylvania Highlands Trail Network (PHTN) is shown as entering Richland Township from the north at the border of Springfield Township and is locally called the Upper Bucks Rail Trail project. On the west side of the Township, the PHTN will connect to existing and proposed trails in Milford Township. Eventually the goal is to continue the PHTN through Montgomery County until it connects to, and co-aligns with the Perkiomen Trail. To view the full-size map, click here: Richland-Trail-plan-2-23-18
