The Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) advances conservation and planning in the Pennsylvania Highlands region at the state, regional, and federal levels. This includes coordination of the Pennsylvania Highlands Coalition, a diverse public-private partnership that conserves critical natural resources and working and natural lands in the Pennsylvania Highlands. We work with coalition partners to advocate for federal conservation funding under the Land and Water Conservation Fund. Our work also includes critical GIS analysis and conservation tools that assists counties, municipalities, land trusts, conservancies, and conservation partners in prioritizing land protection efforts across the Pennsylvania Highlands.
