This month, the Appalachian Mountain Club Mid-Atlantic Trails Coordinator Madison DeGerolamo and architect and trail advocate Robert Thomas had the pleasure of presenting on the PA Highlands Trail Network at the 2026 Eastern PA Greenways & Trails Summit in Bethlehem, PA. The presenters shared history about the PA Highlands Trail and spoke about how to navigate public transit access to trail networks. Attendees also learned how to create interesting, multi-day adventures across long-distance trails that bring together outdoor recreation and economic development.
