AMC and Partners Produce Trail Feasiblity Study

Grant funding from the Schuylkill Highlands Conservation Landscape funded a trail feasiblity study in Upper Bucks County.

Appalachian Mountain Club teamed with Heritage Conservancy and Campbell Thomas & Company to produce a Trail Feasibility Study for the Unami Creek Trail in Milford Township. The feasiblity study examined how to extend the existing 1-mile trail east to connect to the Barrell Run Trail and south to follow the Unami Creek to the Bucks-Montgomery County line. The study analyzed property ownership, produced concept plans with options for trail alignment, as well as opinions of probable costs for trail development, operation, and maintenance. The feasibility study also includes guidelines for funding options. The Unami Creek Trail is part of the growing regional Highlands Trail network.
