Conservation

The Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) is advancing conservation in the Pennsylvania Highlands region at the state, regional, and federal levels. That includes coordinating the Pennsylvania Highlands Coalition, a diverse public-private partnership conserving critical working and natural lands and natural resources in the Pennsylvania Highlands, as well as our work providing critical GIS data and analysis that assists counties, municipalities, and land trusts in prioritizing land protection efforts across the entire Pennsylvania Highlands. We also work with partners to advocate for federal conservation funding under the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
